# AUX4 not outputting signal in card.aux.motion mode

Hi there,

I am trying to set up my Notecard (and Notecarrier AL) to output a signal to my host controller to wake it up when the Notecard is in motion. I am aware that this can be done through card.attn, but I am already using the ATTN pin for a watchdog to reset my host controller.

Currently, I have set the notecard into card.aux.motion mode. I have followed the configuration instructions ([Advanced Notecard Configuration - Blues Wireless Developers](https://dev.blues.io/notecard/notecard-walkthrough/advanced-notecard-configuration/#using-aux-motion-mode)). However, the AUX4 pin is always set to low, even when I gently shake it for a while. I know this movement is being registered, as it is being counted when I poll “card.motion”.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?
