In your opinion, what is the best starting point (from both HW and SW perspective) …i.e. things like HW kit, IDE …

Hi @Sel and welcome to the Blues Wireless community!

Depending on if you are more comfortable with Raspberry Pi/Python vs Arduino, I would start with one of our [dev kits](https://shop.blues.io/collections/development-kits) (e.g. the Feather Starter Kit for Swan or Raspberry Pi Starter Kit).

To get started, the [quickstart](https://dev.blues.io/quickstart/notecard-quickstart/) doesn’t require a host MCU, but the [sensor tutorial](https://dev.blues.io/guides-and-tutorials/collecting-sensor-data/) lets you choose between different boards and languages.

Let us know if you have any other questions as you get started!

Thanks,
Rob
