The article [platformio VSCode extension vs arduino ide](https://nerdytechy.com/platformio-vscode-vs-arduino-ide/) could be of a great value to Blues Wireless community. It presents (as suggested by its title) pros and cons for both IDEs, where [PlatformIO IDE](https://platformio.org/platformio-ide) has all pros and [Arduino IDE](https://www.arduino.cc/en/software) has all cons.

The existence of [PlatformIO IDE](https://platformio.org/platformio-ide), which is packaged as [VSCode](https://code.visualstudio.com/) extension (as it should be 😉) is a great boon for IoT developers, particularly those who plan to create complete solutions (Web+IoT). Such approach would be a lot more difficult without [PlatformIO IDE](https://platformio.org/platformio-ide), where the whole solution is managed on a form of a single project persisted in a Github in the form of a [monorepo](https://monorepo.guide/why-monorepos).
