# Powering Notecarrier X and Swan

Hello,

I’m using a Notecarrier X and a Swan, connected via the Qwiic port. During development, I was able to get everything working by connecting both devices to my PC using USB.

Now, I want to power both devices using a LiPo battery, which I’ve connected to the Notecarrier. How can I use the LiPo battery to supply power to both the Notecarrier X and the Swan?

Hi @k0178n and welcome to the Blues community!

You should power your Notecarrier X with the LiPo battery and then power your Swan from the Notecarrier (wire `GND` on Notecarrier to `GND` on Swan and `VMAIN` on Notecarrier to `VIN` on Swan).
