i keep getting a higher than normal temperature reading only during the day

Hi @Stepntr and welcome to the Blues community!

If your Airnote is in full sun, the temperature sensor will naturally read a little higher due to being inside the enclosure. We mitigate the impact somewhat with the white color of the enclosure.

Stepntr,

You could add an extra solar panel and place the Airnote in the shade (I’ve done the same before). This way, the Airnote won’t get heated.
