In GitHub - gauteh/sfy: 馃寠 A lightweight wave buoy for near-shore deployments. we have been using VIO to power the MCU, IMU and SD-card. With version 3.1 of Notecarrier B we are seeing issues with I2C communication, usually a sign of insufficient voltage. With v2 everything appears to be in order. What has changed?
This now appears to maybe be an RF interference issue: we turned down the I2C speed on our additional IMU to 100 kHz and the problems goes away. Could the new notecarrier B induce more RF noise in the nearby circuits?
This one has us stumped right now as there is nothing operating on either revision of the Notecarrier B at RF levels. The only RF is on the Notecard and that terminates at the u.FL connector. Will let you know if/when we come up with another idea!
