I have the Notecarrier F and I have attached a battery to VBAT and an external power source to V+.
Would this external power source charge the battery ?
Situation → This system is connected to a wall socket which is only ON in the night and this I am unable to get data during the day. Any other efficient way to solve this problem ?

Yep, using a LiPo battery is a great way to keep your Notecard running in that scenario.

Yes. Just make sure you’re using a single-cell LiPo and that you’re applying 2.5–5.5V to V+. See this section in the Notecarrier F’s datasheet for full details.
