Carrier A solar consideration

Now that I’m happy with the software side of things, I have a couple of hardware questions.

Does the carrier A have built-in load sharing?

Do I need a diode in line from the solar panel?

If you look at the schematic (note-hardware/Notecarrier-A/Notecarrier-A schematic v2.0.pdf at master · blues/note-hardware · GitHub) you can see there is already a diode between the solar-panel connector and the charger-chip. Actually, I see diodes everywhere
