Does high humidity affect accuracy?

I live near the ocean and summers are also quite humid in Japan. I am wondering why there is a large variance between my readings and that of a nearby monitor on the Soramame government network. Is there a known limitation?

Normally it’s relatively close but this week I’m seeing high readings of ~40 micrograms/m3 for my Airnote but half that for the official monitors.

Roger,

I check the map that you reference too. But that seems to be SO2 map?

Rogen,

Found the PM2.5 layer too.

Yes, I linked to it above. It has a variety of pollutants and defaults to SO2 but you can change to PM 2.5.

When I’ve seen high readings with my Airnote I check Soramame and don’t see anything comparable. As I write this Airnote says 45 and the nearest 4 monitors are between 19 and 24. I don’t expect perfect agreement but wonder if this is a sensor limitation or calibration issue.
