Feather not able to communicate with Notecard via Notecarrier-F

Hello,

I recently got my hands on a Notecarrier-F (v1.3) and a Notecard (2.2).

I cant get my Adafruit Feather RP2350 to communicate with the Notecard, using CircuitPython 10.0. When I run the basic example (use_uart=False) I see this…

Opening port...
Opening Notecard...
Resetting Notecard I2C communications.
[Errno 19] No such device
  • I have my Feather properly seated in the carrier.
  • Successfully have moved the CircuitPython notecard lib over.
  • When I plug USB-C into the Feather, I can see it powers the Notecard (LEDs light up)
  • I have the micro-usb plugged into the Notecarrier-F itself too, and have successfully run through the tutorial and have connected and issued basic commands
  • I downgraded the firmware to notecard-8.2.3.17326 just to see, still same results.

Anyone have any idea what gives? Or what to try? Thank you.

Hi @chasez0r Welcome to the forums!

It sounds like you’re doing all the right things. I have the same hardware so I’ll try to replicate your scenario and let you know if/where I spot any issues.

Thanks,

Alex

Update: I have it working…

I had another Feather RP2350 sitting around so I tried that and I also put the Notecarrier dip switch ATTN MODE to ON.
