Which Notecard to use in the Carribean?

I am planning to deploy a batch of Notecards in Anguilla. The datasheets for the models WBEX(N) and NBGL(N) list Anguilla specifically as a “covered country” (same for a few other places in the Carribean). However, all information that I can find online indicates that Anguilla deploys 4G via 700 MHz bands, B12, B13, and B17 and I cannot find any confirmation that LTE-M is deployed. That would indicate that I would need WBNA(N) to have signal in Anguilla. But then the datasheet for WBNA(N) sates only Canada, the US, and Mexico as covered countries. Does that mean that I will likely have to buy my own SIM cards? Or does the eSIMs of these Notecards also cover Anguilla (at least to some degree)?

Thanks in advance for your help. Any pointers where I could find the information I am looking for are also welcome. I guess that could potentially be a question for your data service provider rather than yourself.

Hi @JonasBchrt,

It’s admittedly very difficult to pin down precise band support for certain countries (it’s very much a moving target!). It’s safe to assume that if the country is listed on the datasheet for a particular Notecard, we do fully support it. WBEXN has an overlap on B8 (which our partner in Anguillia supports according to our records) and with NBGLN on B2, B5, B8, B13. Both should work fine. The partners we work with in Anguilla must support LTE-M (or NB-IoT, but that seems less likely) if we have them documented as working with our NB* Notecards.

Thanks,
Rob

Thanks @RobLauer for the detailed information! That’s great. I will try that then, probably WBEXN.
